Partnership Definitions

	Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, New Jersey Mid-Atlantic Institute for Telecommunications Technologies The goal of this Advanced Technology Education (ATE) project is the modification of an existing Electronics Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree Program to include Wireless Communications, the development and implementation of new Wireless Communications AAS and credit certificate programs articulated from high school, through community college, and to the university level.

	City College of San Francisco, San Francisco, California Institute for Convergence of Optical and Network Systems The Institute for Convergence of Optical and Network Systems (iCONS) is a joint effort of the City College of San Francisco (CCSF) Computer Networking and Information Technology (CNIT) and Information Technology Services (ITS) Departments. ICONS offers an Associate of Science (A.S.) Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and two certificate programs, one in Metropolitan Optical Networking and the other in Advanced Optical Networks, focusing on the growing fields of Internet Protocol (IP) convergence and fiber optic communications.

	College of Southern Nevada, North Las Vegas, Nevada The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is the largest higher education institution in the State of Nevada with 34,000 students, comprising 67% of the community college students statewide. It is the fastest growing and third largest, multi-campus community college in the nation. CSN, as the largest of four community colleges, and with its comprehensive list of technology-based programs, is the accepted leader in information and telecommunications technology education in Nevada.

	Collin County Community College, Frisco, Texas Convergence Technology Center Collin County Community College District is a student and community centered institution committed to developing skills, stengthening character, and challenging intellect. Collin County Community College District serves more than 40,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs. In addition, Collin is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development.

	Cuyamaca College, El Cajon, California Institute for Telecommunications Technologies (IT 2) The vision of IT 2 is to become a regional leader in telecommunications and convergence technologies education, providing educational pathways and career opportunities for students and developing a knowledgeable, highly-skilled workforce for the local telecommunications industry.

	Gateway Community College, North Haven, Connecticut Gateway's Telecommunications Technology Program Gateway's Regional Center Program will be comprised of four-year and two-year colleges and universities, high-schools - particularly those in Gateway's Cisco Academy program, along with telecommunications companies and users predominately in the State of Connecticut. The goal is to develop a skilled group of technicians able to take on the challenge and meeting the needs of the telecommunications field as we enter the 21stcentury.

	Lake Land College, Mattoon, Illinois Lake Land College (LLC) strives to provide life long learning for the community and its industry. Guided by their shared values, the faculty and staff are committed to continuous improvement and efficient use of resources. As an NCTT Regional Partner, LLC will become and Information and Communication Technician training facility not just for the local community and its industry, but for the educational sector throughout the Midwest Region.

	Midlands Technical College, Columbia, South Carolina Midland's Telecommunications Program Today's competitive, technologically advanced and culturally diverse society is changing the nature of the southeast's workplace. As a flagship institution in the state's technical education system, Midlands Technical College is responding to this change. Through the Midlands Telecommunications Regional Center Partner Program, MTC will support advanced technological education of the current and future workforce of telecommunications-related industry in the Southeast Region of the United States.

	Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, California Featuring exceptional facilities and the latest in computer and high-tech equipment, OCC offers more than 130 academic and career programs, including one of the nation's largest and most acclaimed public nautical programs. Nearly half the students on campus are enrolled in one of OCC's career and technical programs.

NCTT Collaborating Partners

	Bunker Hill Community College, Boston, Massachusetts A leader in workforce education, the College's academic and technical programs offered at two campuses, five satellites and through distance learning models reflect the workforce of the local and regional economy. The additional resources of the Workforce Development Center and ACT Center further support the Greater Boston communities' employment training needs.

	Truckee Meadows Community College, Reno, Nevada Truckee Meadows Community College provides access for lifelong learning opportunities to improve the quality of life for our diverse community. The college anticipates and responds to educational needs of individuals to achieve their goals, aspirations and dreams.

Regional Member Institutions

	Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, WI Electromechanical Devices, Systems and Applications These interactive learning objects focus on concepts that cover a broad-based electromechanical program. The majority of these objects have been created for electronics, but during the next three years (until 2008), at least 300 more objects will be built that will focus on other topic areas such as hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical design, and process control. Instructors from Fox Valley Technical College and other colleges in the Wisconsin Technical College System are creating these objects. FVTC has partnered with four other colleges throughout the United States that will be contributing to this repository. The effectiveness of learning objects was demonstrated in an evaluation conducted at FVTC during the 2004-2005 academic year.

	Rend Lake College, Ina, Illinois The Wireless Communications Technology program prepares students to enter the dynamic field of Wireless communications. This program emphasizes understanding of radio frequency fundamentals, employing a systems approach along with component-level troubleshooting and analysis. Systems integration and networking are also studied. This multi-faceted approach to understanding the operation and troubleshooting of communication systems enables graduates to become effective technicians in the wireless industry.

	Rivier College, Nashua, New Hampshire In a world driven by technology, there is an increasing demand for knowledgeable professionals in mathematics and computer science. Students in Rivier’s programs learn much more than the theory and application of computing and quantitative research. They develop a broad understanding of the social and cultural significance of mathematics and computers in our society. Rivier’s computer science programs are fast-paced and flexible enough to change with new developments in the field, while our mathematics programs allow students to tailor their studies to their individual interests and career goals.
