Save the dates of January 8-9, 2009 for the Winter 2009 Educator Conference in San Francisco, CA!
The National and Mid-Pacific ICT Centers are both focused on promoting, advancing and improving the quality and availability of ICT education in the U.S., and we are excited to be joining forces to create a Winter 2009 Educator Conference, January 8-9, 2009, concurrent with MacWorld in San Francisco. The event will feature presentations from: 1) industry sources of ICT educational resources, 2) from the NCICT and MPICT communities on quality ICT educational practices, and 3) from MPICT on its regional efforts.
You are invited to attend and submit presentation/demonstration proposals!
Registration and Continuing Education Credits:
Register for free here if you are an ICT technical educator in the U.S. You are eligible for
3 continuing education credits for attending the full conference.
Location and Transportation:
The conference will be at the new $70 million Mission Campus of City College of San Francisco in San Francisco's Mission District. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation arrangements and expenses. Free bus service between the hotels and campus will be provided.

Call for Presentations:
The National and Mid-Pacific ICT Centers are very interested in current ICT educational practices, within the MPICT region, and across the country. This call for presentations and demonstrations is an effort to showcase quality practices, innovation and exemplary work in ICT education, as well as new and emerging technologies. This solicitation seeks to bring together the best and brightest ICT educators from around the country to share their educational and technical expertise with like-minded educators and professionals.
We encourage presentation/demonstration submissions from all facets of ICT, computer science, telecommunications, networking, Internet, database, forensics... We're interested in applications of ICT, hands-on labs, pedagogy, articulation and transfer, evolving technologies, distance learning, classroom tactics, recruitment and retention... All ideas are welcome! Please share your ICT educational expertise with peers from around the country.
Proposed presentations should be one or two 45-minute segments and include required laboratory, classroom space and audio/visual support. Presentations may be informational/lecture-based, however, we encourage interactive, hands-on or lab elements.
Please submit your presentation proposal here by November 14, 2008. Presenters selected will be notified by November 28, 2008. If you have any questions, please contact NCICT via email or call (413) 755-6550 or contact MPICT via email or call (415) 239-3600.
